EGGcellent Easter!

Traditionally, in Romania, Easter eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Christ, shed on the Cross. Every Easter morning we used to have the egg-knocking competition, so Ioana dyed a few eggs and we went looking for an worthy opponent. We found this little guy:
Than we got a bit closer:
This is actually, the biggest Pysanka (Ukrainian for Easter egg) in the world and we found it 100 km east of Edmonton, in Vegreville, Alberta, Canada:
It measures 25.7 feet in length, 18.3 feet in width, and stands 31.0 feet high and it's made of aluminum, so I had to give up the competition:
Our team is still strong:
The aluminum is permanently anodized in gold, silver and bronze:
The radiating sunburst star has always been a basic symbol in Pysanka design: We wish you an EGGcellent Easter!
