Inderpal & Jessy - My Big Fat Indian Wedding : Day 3, 4 & 5

Day 3 - Ladies' Sangeet
Taren is in charge with the chai (tea) among other things:
Traditional instruments:
And not so traditional instruments: Day 4 - Maiya
Roti is the traditional unleavened flat bread originating in the Indian subcontinent and this is how you cook it in Canada, Alberta, Edmonton, 25th Avenue:
Every rangoli I've seen was made in a different way:
Coins are placed underneath Jessy's feet. I don't know the reason, but at this point in my career I can come up with my own theory: how about good luck? If you have better explanation, please leave a comment:
You know it's a good time to get married and move on when your own mother does this to you:
And your relatives travel from Europe to do this to you:
And your cousins are more than happy to do this to you:
The egg smashed on face was the cherry on top:
But Jessy didn't give up! I think he actually enjoyed the whole treatment:
Day 5 - Nanki-shak
The maternal part of the family is welcomed at the house:
For a good reason. They bring cash, jewelery and clothes as gifts and they present them:
I'm not sure if that's how you wear that:
Two more days left of the wedding! Don't touch the remote!
