The season is not over yet, so we might as well learn the Punjabi word for 'wedding' : 'shadi'
Reena is so ready to get married:
The last touch ups by Sunita Sumaru:
I'm at Paul's house and I'm basking in natural light and space:
These are probably the best turban pictures I've got so far:

Remember everyone: light + space = amazing photos!
Baraat:
The cold winds give us a little taste of the season change. The milni ceremony is short:
Inside the gurdwara, Paul receives a small fortune from his soon to be father in law:
Since she got the 5D Mark II, Ioana is unstoppable! She doesn't even use the flash anymore (gasp):

As usual, there's something new at every wedding. Tossing the bouquet inside the temple:
We have less than an hour for a portrait session:
The New Art gallery of Alberta is an interesting place, but it's quite challenging to get some good shots when it is full of visitors.

We're back at Reena's for the doli ceremony. Paul is offered a refreshing glass of milk with lots of ... salt in it. It's an old prank, but being a groom for the first time comes with risks:
Ioana got this shot of the departure:
The palanquin awaits for the bride:
Mom is saying goodbye (pic by Ioana):
The groom is leading the way to his house while Reena is carried by 4 of her cousins:
Luckly, Paul lives only 3 houses down the road.
I told you Ioana was unstoppable:
A gorgeous canvas made with an image from our engagement session greets the guests by the entrance at the hall:
The reception is in the same day and unfortunately, we don't have anymore time for pictures before the party, but I want to show you Reena's evening outfit. Ioana said it was absolutely stunning. I'm a guy, so I can't really say that, but it does look nice:
Punjabi dances:
This instrument is called 'saaps' and besides that fact that it looks interesting, I don't know what else is supposed to do:
First dance:
DJ Shammi brought his lasers:
And smoke:
It's a party alright:

The head table had better moments:
So did the horsey on top of the fire place:
Ioana didn't have time to change this time, but that doesn't stop her from partying with Kam and everybody else:
Like son, like father:
I'm one of the few still standing by the end of the night:
Congratulations Reena and Paul! Thank you so much for everything!
