Cosmin Danila Photography Made it Big in Punjab, India!

Billboard size big!
So, I was driving down the streets of Patiala, Punjab (actually I was sitting next to the driver, but I felt really close to the action), when something colorful caught my eye. And the most interesting part of this colorful thing was the black and white bit. I asked Sukhi to stop the car, walked a few steps back and ... bingo:
If I tell you I was surprised to see Ravi and Gary hanging on a big wall, it would be an understatement.
I'm pretty sure you remember their wedding from Edmonton, not Punjab:
If you wanna know what really happened here, I'll tell you. I was actually trying to advertise for the ever growing Indian market and I thought a poster would be a great idea. But they got my name wrong! Guys, I told you, it's Cosmin Danila Photography, not Sumeet Digital Studio! Common, it's not even close!
On a little more serious note, this is one of the reasons I kindly insist you post on facebook only the pictures with my name on it - you know, the ones from the 'facebook' folder I always provide!
Usually I end my posts with an honest and heartfelt 'thank you' , so I'm looking for a reason I should be thank full for right now... I guess I should be flattered that sneaky Sumeet stole my picture from millions of other incredible images out there.     I like how he put a leaf in the corner to cover up your logo, haha. What are the odds that you would actually see this billboard while on your travels in India....Crazy :-)

    Did you call them and confront them??
    I would have.

    But nothing you can really do in india.

    In the end the clients will be unhappy with the work they see from those guys and compare it to the billboard they gonna get it in the end.

    Shit thats nutz thou.. what are the odds eh?

    They have a separate court for stuff like this in Punjab...
    It would be easy to do something and get some $$ whilst you are at it!!

    It is probably an illegally placed billboard regardless & at least they aren't going to bite into your demographic anyway.

    I want to see more of your Punjab travels!!

    WOW! I don't know how they got our picture, all my facebook pictures have your signature on it, and only friends have access. Is it possible they photoshoped the signature out.... :(

    I'm not sure if Cosmin could do much about his pictures being used but the people in the pictures could sure as hell do something if they did not consent to their images being used by that company.

    There are many photographers who cant click such lively photographs.they just copy photos for marketing purpose.But in the end they are not able to give such kind of results to clients.But you don't worry.Don't think about such small photographers.do ur best.al the best
