I fly to Fort McMurray early in the morning and I make my way straight to Trinity Salon:
Where Mariam and the girls are getting fabulous:
Most of the time, my brides get ready at home and I'm not even there because I have to be with the groom in the same time.
So, the photojournalist in me is enjoying every second of this:
Maybe a little too much:
Somebody is proud of his work! For a good reason; this is one of the fanciest hairstyles I've seen in a while:
The makeup is done in about 20 minutes:
They really know what they're doing up in Fort Mac!
Imran is getting some final touches himself from Kelsey, the wedding coordinator from MacDonald Island Park:
In fact, all the boys are patiently waiting their turn for the same treatment. The best man keeps loosing his flower for some reason:
Introducing the surprise best man: Rahim, the newlyweds' son:
The ceremony is about to begin:
Here comes the bride:
When Rahim finds out this is actually a renewal of the vows ceremony, he loses interest:
But the big, shiny thing is hypnotizing:
I'm not sure how you're supposed to guess the sand's gender, but one is male and one is female and this is the sand ritual:
Also known as the dust ritual:
Congratulations!
It does take three sometimes:
This reminds me of Romanian weddings, where somebody always steals the bride's shoes. This is the first time when that somebody is the groom:
He's actually just being helpful:
The next level in hairstyling. Fort McMurray is clearly a few steps ahead Milan:
It's mid June and we're close to the North Pole, but the day still feels short and the reception is about to start:
Back at the Miskanaw Ballroom, at the MacDonald Island Park:
Nadena, the bride's sister turns out to be a great MC and host:
Again, it takes three:
Modern dance performance:
And the first dance! Man, I'm good at taking pictures:
Mariam and Imran, thank you so much for inviting me to your celebration! It was great to finally meet you and spend some time together! (funny story about this cake topper: it wasn't supposed to be on the cake, but I found it there and I really liked it):

foarte faine, freza florala e bestiala si figurinele de la final la fel, frumos surprinse o gramada de detalii si de expresii, de data asta si o mica obiectie, cea pe pietre, cred ca erau un picut cam ascutite si neconfortabile :P
ReplyDeletesalutari si numai bine
Multumesc frumos de vizita si comentariu! Mica obiectie m-a ranit. Nu-s obisnuit cu asa ceva. Glumesc! :) Pietrele erau sub forma de canapea, asa ca tinerii au supravietuit! :)
