Tania & Uthman - Pakistani Wedding in Edmonton

Tania's last few minutes as a single girl:
The nikah ceremony will be broadcasted live all the way in London, UK:
The groom to be and his family come from Toronto and are welcomed by the bride's parents and relatives:
The basement is lively decorated for the occasion:
The prayer is part of the Muslim wedding ceremony:
It can be done with one hand, as well:
Actually, it looks like the cameras are a must have prayer accessory:
And it's done! Uthman is congratulated by his father in law:
In a different room, Tania has to sign the marriage contract. It's only the most important part of the nikah and, evidently, one auntie thinks this is the perfect time to jump in front of me, to arrange her maang tikka:
The bride is going to leave her parents and move to Toronto right after the wedding.

She comes downstairs, ready to meet her new husband:
Uthman is ready to meet her, as well:
 With bling and everything:

Turns out the backyard is the right place for a few snaps:

The reception is the next day and we take some more pictures at the Sandman Hotel:

The Mirage Banquet Hall is in celebration mode:

Things get even more obvious when Choo Choo the Clown shows up:
 He'll be busy all night:
It's ime for the groom and his family to make an entrance:

 Followed by his bride:
 A few speeches:

And a very rare flower from Choo Choo:

What can I tell you about the food? Well, good thing you can't see me now! This wedding season has been way to hard on me and my pants:

This is the part where Tania's sisters bring a glass of what seems to be cocoa milk for Uthman:
He has to drink it, but - surprising enough - he doesn't trust his new sisters in law and he asks his wife to taste it first. Tania is more brave:

Not only Uthman didn't ask for the milk, but now he has to pay lots of cash for it:

The departure is a very emotional affair:
Tears can't be refrained while Tania is saying goodbye to her family:
Congratulations, Tania & Uthman! May you have a lifetime of love and happiness together!
