"Anna and I met through a social networking site. It was a complete fluke that we even started talking as Anna was not actively engaged on the site. It was her cousin Barb that opened up her profile while they were in California and of course I immediately began messaging her. We had our first date at a restaurant on Whyte Avenue. Of course she was late lol. As I stood there texting her she snuck up from behind me. I was shocked at just how beautiful she was. I’d seen pictures of her online, but it really didn’t do justice to the true nature of her beauty. That’s when she immediately noticed that I hadn’t worn jeans like I promised to. She also pointed out that I needed a haircut and looked really tired and pale. I was instantly smitten with her! We spent the rest of the evening drinking wine and talking and found out that we had the same sense of humour and had many things in common.
Anna’s daughter Amy said that the thing she noticed about us, is that we’re always laughing like a couple of kids. It has been like that since the first time we met and it hasn’t changed.
One of the things we appreciated about each other is our honesty. We tell each other everything and we love each other unconditionally. She’s my Buddy.
Since our first date we’ve gone on lots of adventures with each other, from Atlanta to Vegas, Vancouver to Mexico, we love to travel with each other. Mexico holds a special place in our hearts and we couldn’t have thought of a better place to get married surrounded by all the people we love.
Anna and I have 3 kids between us. Anna’s daughter Amy who is 27, her son Austin who is 11 and my son Hazen who is 16."
