Happy Oz Day - Falls Gap, Australia

  The official national day of Australia is celebrated annually on 26 January and it commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove, in 1788. 

  The first Europeans must have been extremely confused when they initially encountered what is now probably the most recognized symbol of Oz:
