Light For Life - Point Lonsdale, Australia

Light stations on the Australian coast have been vital to all ships coming to the land downunder. Built in 1902, Point Lonsdale Signal Station stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the 'Rip', a stretch of water considered one of the most treacherous navigable passages in the world.
More than 600 shipwrecks are dotting the southern Oz coast. You can imagine how many would be without the lighthouses.
