A breathtaking combination of geologic color and erosional forms decorate the overwhelming Grand Canyon. And if the weather makes a little effort, the landscape becomes surreal:
Impossible to believe, but the situation gets better! Important moment in my life and in the history of the American West. I realized I've been designated the newest landmark in the Grand Canyon. I was close to the Ooh Aah Point on the South Kaibab trail, when a group of trackers stopped when they saw me, on their way down. I heard one of them saying: 'They told us about the Old Man with the Pink Beard, they told us we should be able to see him somewhere in the canyon'.
True story!
PS. I'm sure they used the appellation 'Old' to signify respect and honour, not to remind me of how many winters have passed since my arrival on this planet...
