Andrea & Sherman - Chinese Wedding in Calgary

Can't tell you how excited I am to share my first ever Chinese wedding.
All the girls are getting ready at Andrea's house, because you never know who comes knocking on the door.
Well, it's Sherman, the groom, and he's determined to break down the door:
But he must prove worthy of taking his bride-to-be away. Thus he has to wear a bra, ironically:
At least, now, he can proudly shake hands with his future father-in-law:
You know that feeling when you get a new pair of shoes that give you a confidence boost?
This is where I start to feel left out, as the boys are having too much fun:
The fun continues inside, where they are subjected to a little session of vicious waxing:
Sherman's last task is to recite a haiku for his future wife. No need for the bra anymore, but it feels really comfortable:
 The tea ceremony begins:

Andrea is literally covered in gold:
 Probably her weight just doubled.

It's hard to say goodbye to your parents, but a Tesla Model X sweetens the deal:

At Sherman's place, we have special guests, that probably didn't insist on being here today:

 Another tea ceremony begins.

Surprisingly, there's still room for jewelry on Andrea's fingers:

While lunch is being served, Sherman prepares for the next ceremony:

Meanwhile, the bride is getting ready at the Delta Hotels Downtown Calgary, where she receives a sweet and bubbly welcome:

Slowly, everyone gathers at the Centre Street Church:

  Here comes the bride.
And here comes the groom to take her away one more time:

Pastor Pam Wolfe makes sure Andrea climbs safely on the stage:

This is just the first kiss of the newest married couple in town. The day is still young:

It's reassuring to see that Sherman knows what his new role is:

A few kisses later, we make our way to Civic On Third for more kisses, aka the reception:
Not familiar at all with the Lion Dance, but they totally look like they are smooching:

Brandon, Andrea's brother, and his dance group, White Brow Hap Ging Do, take it away.

The ten course Chinese dinner is just like a three course regular dinner, but it's Chinese and it consists of ten courses.
One more exciting than the next.

Wedding games turn the event in a comedy special.

In a clever twist, the guests are involved in the success of the evening. Each table has to complete different assignments, thus giving the couple an excuse to kiss.
For their efforts, everyone is rewarded an exquisite tablet of Chinese tea:

This is competition level Gangnam style, curtesy of the groom and his new brother in law, Brandon.
That gave the bride a chance to change her dress for the 4th time today:
Just in time for the cake cutting:

The kissing games continue in spectacular fashion.

At this point, I start taking notes. Silly me, all this time I thought I was the creative one.

Since guests can't keep up, the couple uses the pretext of a new challenge, where they have to guess the flavour of the lip balm, to keep on smooching.
I mean, common, it's plain water:
Congratulations one more time, Andrea and Sherman! Thank you for an absolutely unique and beautiful day! Never stop kissing!
