Damini & Connor - Hindu Pre-wedding Rituals in Edmonton

Yes, it got to the point where Connor is drinking coffee in the shower, but everything starts a day before with safe and sanitized mehndi by Simi:

Soon enough, the future groom's mom gets the gist and tries her skills on her son:

We're back at Damini's place the next day for the Tilak, a religious Hindu ceremony.

Since many guests couldn't be here because of the infamous Covid, every bit of the rituals is broadcasted live via Zoom:

You may know it as haldi or vatna or maiyan; either way, it gets pretty yellow from here on.

Damini and Connor are definitely in this together.

Not sure how good is that mustard oil for the eyes, but who am I to question thousands of years of traditions.

The outdoor shower looks like the most fun of 2020. I feel like I'm missing out.
