Meenu & Gagan - One Heart

My last Sikh wedding of the year was only three days. We start with ladies' sangeet. A couple of posters - with pictures from July's photo shoot - greet the guests:
A short play is presenting how the couple met:
Shaan - Gagan's nephew - is taking his role very seriously, even though he doesn't actually have one:
My favorite part, the jaago:
Meenu's sister in law - Deepi - knows some extreme bhangra moves! My back started to hurt only watching her:
The morning of the wedding day Ioana and Meenu have some time to connect:
The bride has custom made bangles:
Gagan is waiting in front of the gurdwara for the milni ceremony:
That's when men from both families greet each other and exchange garlands. Sometimes these men need help from their mommies:
As usual, inside the temple, breakfast is served before the religious ceremony:
Not as usual, today there are no chairs and tables:
Everyone has to bow before the Guru Granth Sahib when they enter the main hall:
Hymns are sung by the ragis as people come in:
Now I know what Gagan's secret is:
Or not... That's actually Shaan's stash:
Meenu's father places one end of the palla worn by Gagan over his shoulder in his daughter's hand, signifying that now she's leaving his care to join her husband:
And now is official in the province of Alberta:
I've seen weddings with less people than this bridal party:
And definitely less crazy:
Here is where I lost control, not that I really had it before, anyways. I have no idea what's going on:
Finally, we have a few minutes alone:
An Oilers' shirt is supposed to have the same effect on Gagan like garlic on vampires, that's why the girls use it as shield when the groom comes to Meenu's home:
He skilfully answers the girls' questions and gets inside:
Meenu's father is saying goodbye:
Gagan's father is saying welcome:
Reception day.
Susan Gill is busy transforming Meenu. Meenu is busy, too:
Everybody needs a little courage for tonight:
But the party started earlier:
The lobby of Metterra Hotel is exactly what we need:
Oh, yeah:
Entering the Maharaja Hall:
Awesome dances and dancers:
Punjabi Soormey:
Gagan's brother - Harman - joins for a while:
A song for the newly weds from Karamjit Baath:
I can't wait to have a word with one of these cupcakes:
First dance is smoking! Literally:
I've had the pleasure to be deafened by DJ Shammi at several weddings now:
I hope that's the volume knob and you're turning it down a little bit:
Well, I'm the only one who seems to have a problem with that:
The cupcakes are an endangered species! Fortunately, she only has two hands:
This is an instant remake of last year's masterpiece 'Jaz and Ioana' and, btw, happy 1 year anniversary to Jaz and Rav!
Jerry is teaching Ioana some moves:
Moves he's stolen from his nephew:
Congratulations Meenu and Gagan! Thank you so much for everything! Shukriya!
