Taj Mahal - Agra, India

 Streets of Agra, the former capital of Hindustan, the medieval India.





 Agra fort was built by Akbar - the third and greatest Mughal emperor - in 1571.

 Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife - Mumtaz Mahal (Arjumand Bano Begum) - in 1653:

 The monument changes its colors constantly, depending on the time of day.


 Taj Mahal means "Crown Palace".


 The entire mausoleum is decorated with inlaid design of flowers and calligraphy using as many as 28 different varieties of semi-precious and precious stones.
