Anjali & Shiv - Hindu Wedding at the Mirage

Anjali and Shiv's wedding consists of 5 days of Hindu rituals and fun, and everyone is invited:

The excitement level is high right from the beginning:

In a clever twist, the engagement ceremony ends with Shiv on one knee:

Anjali's answer is a signal to start the party.

The next day, Shiv gets half naked for the vatna ceremony:

Hard to tell who's enjoying this more.

After a shower and fresh change of clothes, the groom is back for the puja:

There's so much blessings to go around.

Today I learned that you have to cross your arms when you pay respects to your elders by touching their feet:

The bride is having a great time, too, getting her mehndi done:

More rituals are about to take place on the 3rd day:

There's enough haldi for everyone:

Bogdan, my second shooter, is helping me on the wedding day.

Somewhere in that hairspray cloud, Sunita is creating her work of art:

I'm with Shiv again, and he's naked again. We should probably stop meeting like this:

In no time, he's in full groom attire, with help from his loving family.

Now his attire is complete, with horse and umbrella.

DJ Lucky and his dhol lead the exuberant baraat.

Anjali's family is welcoming them in front of the Mirage banquet hall:

The dancing continues throughout the milni.

Inside, Lord Ganesha is ready to remove all obstacles:

Unfortunately, the Elephant God has no power over excited guests during the Kanya Agman:

As the antarpath (curtain) is lowered, the first look takes place inside the mandap, in front of everybody:

Under a shower of blessing rose petals, the jaimala follows right after that:

Kanya Daan is the most emotional part of the ceremony and the photo and video teams want to make sure they don't miss a thing.

By taking the third step simultaneously, the couple promises to grow together mentally, physically and spiritually:

Akhanda Saubhagyawati is the part where married women are called to the mandap to give blessings to the newlyweds. They must be happy blessings:

On his way out, Shiv must retrieve his shoes from Anjali's sisters.

I don't want to be in his shoes now, as he has to pay considerable amounts of money.

It's time for the bride to say goodbye to her family.

Just when they are about to leave, Shiv finds out about another unresolved debt.

Anjali and Shiv: "From the start of our story, the best part of our relationship has been our incredible connection. We barely knew each other, but our first date was literally 12 hours long! We instantly knew this was the beginning of something special, and have truly become best friends and life long partners."

The fifth and last day of the marriage celebrations finds the couple in cloud nine. Maybe that's because cloud nine is, actually, in their house:

Shiv is naked again, of course, but not for long.

This is a very valuable lesson for all the couples about to get married.

Get ready on time and relax a little bit before the reception!

Mirage is in party mode:

Performances and speeches keep everyone entertained.

The groomsmen are demonstrating to all the ladies how to put their saree on and be ready for any social event in less than two minutes.
