The all-inclusive Panama Jack Resorts in fascinating Cancun's hotel zone, is the proud host of Sonam and Tanveer's wedding. It all begins right by the pool, in flip flops and shorts, definitely my kind of event.
We have a full day ahead of us:
Bienvenidos a Sonam's maiyan:
A different rangoli is prepared for Tanveer:
There's enough vatna for two.
More than enough.
The day is still young when all Sonam's uncles get together for the choora ritual.
Emotions are not easy to contain.
Finally, the choora is on and there's plenty of milk to celebrate.
The sunset brings hues of pink and orange on the beach for the jaago party:
Every guest is welcomed with SoTan 2019 bags:
When it comes to mehndi, not every guest is invited, though. Just the ladies:
With Caribbean waves in the background, Arvind, Tanveer's sister, kicks off the dance with a solo performance:
Without further ado, here comes the jaago:
I think the guacamole was especially ordered for me. Or it's here just because we're in Mexico. Not sure, though.
DJ Heer came all the way from Vancouver to make sure everybody is going to be tired the next day.
He's doing a great job.
There are no less than two wedding ceremonies - one Sikh and one Hindu - coming up the next day and I have to be not only sharp and creative for both of them, bu also awake, so I leave everyone partying the night away. Buenas noches for now.
