Nuestros Amigos de la Habana, Cuba

Casas particulares - private homes -  are a very popular form of accommodation in Cuba and the best way to meet and get to know locals. You can even make some new friends, like we did last month. We filled a little room in Dona Leticia's apartment in Old Havana. She has a daughter, Yerdlin and a son in law, Mikey. For those of you who still think I'm a woman, I'm actually the guy on the right hand side of the picture, that didn't shave in a while:

  Dona Leticia also has a son, Carlitos, who's studying to be an actor:

 He needed some pictures for his portfolio and you know me, I like to take pictures:

 Carlito has a class mate that wanted some shots, as well:

 How could I have said no?

 Even if I wanted I couldn't say much, because yo no hablo espaniol.

 This is the moment when I started to suspect they were more than class mates:
